Wesel district launches district-wide mobility survey

05. March 2026

In order to further develop mobility in all 13 municipalities in a targeted manner, the district of Wesel will conduct a comprehensive mobility survey in spring 2026 – coordinated, carried out and evaluated by our mobility research department.

In the coming weeks, randomly selected households throughout the district will receive a letter with a survey link, which they can use to conveniently participate online. Alternatively, the questionnaire can also be requested in written form.

The aim of the survey is to gain a comprehensive and representative picture of everyday mobility in the Wesel district: Which modes of transport are preferred? Which routes are taken for what purpose? What are the strengths and weaknesses of the existing transport services? The data obtained will provide a sound basis for evaluating existing measures, aligning future planning with needs and sustainably increasing the share of environmentally friendly mobility in the Wesel district.

As a member of AGFS-NRW, the district of Wesel combines urban structures on the outskirts of the Ruhr area with rural charm – and is actively committed to sustainable, climate-friendly mobility. High participation among the population is crucial in this regard: the more people participate, the more meaningful the results are and the more precisely transport planning can be tailored to actual local needs.

We are delighted to support the district of Wesel with our expertise in mobility research and to work together to lay the foundations for sustainable, climate-friendly and liveable mobility in the region.
